Our client is a multinational company operating in the industrial manufacturing sector; for their North American operations, we are looking for a SALES MANAGER, North America.

The position will report to the Sales Director and leads a worldwide shared sales team working locally with individual customer accounts.

Main responsibilities:

  • Hold and grow business with a given set of worldwide OEM customers
  • Develop customer relationships and position the company as a competent, innovative, and trustworthy leading worldwide supplier to win customer confidence for new projects
  • Promote products and solutions to win profitable new business against the competition
  • Actively drive and negotiate yearly pricing to maximize business and profit
  • Prepare and negotiate project quotes in alignment with management, marketing, and development guidelines
  • Develop, share and maintain a short- and mid-term customer growth plan, with team and management (current year and following two years)
  • Report regularly on progress against the customer plan(s) making critical actions, progress, and issues visible with corrective action plans
  • Manage accounts receivable, forecast sales revenues for the following year's budget and on a monthly basis

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business administration, or similar.
  • At least 10 years of proven experience in the role
  • Over 5 years of experience building relationships with large OEMs with a strong growth track record
  • Proven team player
  • Good record of high-level management customer relationships
  • Strong team player
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Self-motivator
  • Strong negotiation level English
  • Solid business acumen
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent presentation skills
